"Music of the Isles" is a celebration of concert and folk music from across the pond, exploring England’s choral tradition in the first half of the program with the music of Byrd, Purcell, Finzi and Vaughan Williams. Part two of the concert will leave the ceremonial and sacred behind to present the down-to-earth folk songs, ballads, sea shanties, and pub songs of England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. From the bawdy to the sublime, these festive songs include "Loch Lomond," "Wearin’ of the Green," and the most famous Irish tune of all, "O Danny Boy." Joining the choir on this concert is composer and flutist Susan Conant and friends, featuring a fusion of Celtic melody with classical and jazz harmony and rhythm.

Runs about 100 minutes with one intermission.
